1. Stay Healthy
A glowing skin can only come from adequate rest, good hydration, balanced diet and exercise. You need your beauty sleep of 7-8 hours to recover and regenerate from your daily activity. The most important of all skincare tips and tricks is hydration. Drink water! Six to eight glasses per day is beneficial. Also, eat healthy foods, less sugar, more fruits and vegetables and exercise regular.
Layers of dead skin cells cause dullness in complexion. You need a gentle scrub to exfoliate weekly to keep your glow. Exfoliate your elbows by rubbing shortening on them and covering up with a sock; your feet could also use pumice stones. Facial exfoliation is better done in the mornings with natural products such as brown sugar and coconut oil.
3. Lip Care
Scaly lips will simply not do! Do not lick your lips no matter how tempting it may be. It leads to increased dryness. You can get rid of scaly/dry lips with: a little Vaseline and a toothbrush, honey and a lip conditioner. T. you have your succulent lips!
4. Makeup Cleansing
Never give in to the temptation of going to bed with your makeup on. It causes clogged pores and acne breakouts. Rubbing coconut oil on your face helps to take off every trace of makeup before cleansing. You can also wash with a gentle cleanser.
After cleansing soak a washcloth in milk and ice cubes, wring it out then apply on your face for 10 minutes to restore freshness. Moisturize and gently massage your face while still damp.
