For Ramadan 2018, Amnas shows off an array of pretty things with her latest edit. The emerging womenswear brand does a chic take on modest yet timeless styles in pastel hues for the collection for the modern effortless muse.
With Ramadan 2018 as inspiration for the collection; clean lines, fluidity, simplicity and the elegance of Middle-Eastern fashion was infused into the pieces while staying true to the brand’s ethos of “designing evolving clothes for today’s stylish and modest woman”.
Style influencer Hanifa Abubakar was the leading lady for the edit choosing kaftan with contrasting bell sleeve details in soft pastel with more looks including a soft tiered sleeved A-line belted tent dress with handstitched floral details. Others include chic contrasting print kaftan cinched for a nip tuck effect and soft airy kaftans with details.
The soft hues played up with intricate beading and minimal accents were the highlights on the otherwise traditional boubous/kaftan.
The accordion pleated skirt on the grey dense kaftan stands out as a favourite with kimonos with piping details making closet must haves, the looks were paired with turbans for the modest muse.
“The Creative Director, Fatima Gidado, derived excitement from being able to create an edit around a special event such as Ramadan; the significance of spirituality and celebration, and how this can be embodied in clothes” a rep for the brand shares.
