This museum is also a profound reminder of the strength of the human spirit and the power of art to offer comfort, inspiration, and community. As we endure these challenging and uncertain times, we are encouraged by looking forward to the day when we can once again welcome all to enjoy the Met’s collection and exhibitions,” Daniel H. Weiss, president of the museum said in a statement last year.
However, the event which often comes with the most exciting celebrity-fashion moments is returning back this year but t. are a few changes to align with the present state of the pandemic. Usually taking place on the first Monday of May, this year the annual event is scheduled for Monday 13 September, as per the press release from the Met on Instagram. The museum also announced that the 2022 Met Gala will be scheduled for 2 May as both events will be held to coincide with the openings of a two-part exhibition that celebrates American fashion.
