Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang according to transfer reports is a .er that Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel greatly fancies .ing in his team.
And that has led the Chelsea owner, Todd Boehly to go head over heels for the Gabon international, but that move could hit a snag like the Raphinha deal also.
Aubameyang is said to favor staying in Spain over returning to England with Chelsea according to a recent report from ‘Sport’.
With Thomas Tuchel having lost Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner this summer, the former Arsenal man preferring to stay put at Barcelona than move to Chelsea could send the Blues’ plans backwards.
The German boss desperately needs an experienced striker, and at best one that is Premier League proven before the window ends.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to Tuchel fits the needed profile as the German hopes to stir the Blues back to its best form going forward into the 2022/23 season.
Both Tuchel and Aubameyang already have quite a great relationship seemingly from the .er’s Borussia Dortmund days.
The Gabon international had 6 months earlier had his Arsenal contracted terminated in response to his deadline day move to the Catalan giants in January of this year.
Since then, the former Arsenal man has netted 13 times for Barcelona, including a brace in the famous El Clasico that saw Barcelona run out 4-0 winners against Real Madrid.
However, it might be Barcelona’s financial struggles that might ultimately force the Gabon international out of the club in favor of registering Robert Lewandowski who the club recently signed.
The dilemma though is that Aubameyang desperately wants to stay put at Barcelona as he feels very comfortable with the Catalans after bonding well with his teammates.
Speculations also state Barcelona are considering selling Memphis Depay than Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang going into the La Liga season.
