Yep, you can use aspirin to treat this hair situation. Don’t get it twisted a lot factors cause scalp dryness from Psoriasis to eczema, shampooing too often (stripping the scalp of oils), not cleaning/scrubbing properly, sensitivity to care products and lifestyle habits as not drinking enough water and in some cases; smoking!
Aspirin has a lot of beauty uses and tackling dandruff is a rave one and since we reckon you’ve got nothing to lose; it comes cheap and raved as effective, do give it a try. Aspirin contains Salicylic acid that is great for exfoliating and with a flaky scalp it helps exfoliate the dry skin and sebum that’s a common feature of dandruff.
Try this out in super easy steps:
- Crush 4-6 aspirin tablets into a clean bowl
- Mix the crushed aspirin powder with a little shampoo and mix
- Dampen your hair and massage in the paste gently into the scalp
- Leave the paste in the hair for 5-7 minutes
- Rinse your hair and wash again with mild shampoo
