Despite initially taking the lead with Bukayo Saka’s early goal, strikes from Raul Jiménez and Bobby De Cordova-Reid shifted the momentum, resulting in a victory for the hosts.
Following this defeat, Arteta’s team heads into the New Year occupying fourth place in the standings.
In his words;
“Today was our worst game of the season. We were sloppy with the ball. It wasn’t good enough. We didn’t deserve to win. When you have opportunities to go top of the league on 31 December and now end up with a really bad feeling, that is football,”
