Ndidi and Leicester continue their porous start to the season as they fall to 10-men Chelsea today at Stamford Bridge in a 2-1 scoreline contest.
Leicester who parades two Nigerian .ers in Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho has just a point in the premier league so far this season and that was the opening draw at home to Brentford, a game they should have conveniently won but they blew up two goals lead at the King’s Power Stadium.
They are currently placed 19th, only above Westham United, a relegation battle they should be wary of.
Ndidi and Iheanacho were both benched with the duo introduced in the second half of the game but it counted for nothing as they fell to a much determined Chelsea side despite the blue’s numerical disadvantage.
Joe Aribo, who has been enjoying some fine run in the starting XI for Ralph Hassenhuttl started the match against Manchester United but the Old Trafford club got the better of the Saints to snatch a 1-0 win, grabbing all 3 points.
Aribo was later replaced in the second half of the game in the 89th minute for Lyanco.
At the other end in Brentford Community Stadium, Frank Onyeka was an unused substitute for Brentford as both teams shared the spoils with Alex Iwobi maintaining his spot in the midfield for Everton.
An 84th-minute Janelt strike denied Alex Iwobi and Everton the maximum 3 points. On continuing their search for the first win of the season after managing to limp out of the relegation zone although Westham and Wolves have a game in hand. If both teams win, they fall back into the bottom mix.
This draw for Frank Lampard will surely bring relief to the fans and a good momentum to build on for the .ers in subsequent games.
Tosin Adarabioyo maintained his spot at the heart of Fulham’s defense but the Cottagers fell short of their tenacity and grit to snatch a point at the Emirates Stadium with Gabriel snatching the winner in the 86th minute to place Mikel Arteta’s side top of the league table.
Emmanuel Dennis is yet to start any games for Nottingham Forest since his move from Watford as he was named on the bench with fellow countryman, Taiwo Awoniyi in the defeat at home to Tottenham Hotspurs.
Both .ers were introduced in the 69th and 75th minute respectively but their introduction wasn’t enough for a comeback. With the loss, Nottingham Forest now sits 14th on the log with 4 points in 4 games.
