Gombe State Governor Signs 2023 Budget Into Law |FS News

Gombe state governor Inuwa Yahaya has signed the state’s 2023 appropriation act, which allocates N176.016 billion, or about N2.319 billion more than the state’s initial budget proposal of N173.697 billion.
Goldennewsng reports that Governor Inuwa Yahaya spoke shortly after signing the budget in the Council Chamber of the Government House. He credited the law’s swift passage to the state’s harmonious relationship between the Executive and Legislature.
He said that this new development means a new beginning for government operations in the 2023 fiscal year.
He said, ” Since we started, the House and this government have worked well together, and I think we will continue to work together until the end. Our excellent relationship, as well as our mutual understanding and cooperation, helped us move ahead of many states.
He claims that delivering the benefits of democracy to the people will only be a dream if all government departments cooperate with one another.
The Lead representative portrayed the advancement up to this point kept in the state as satisfying and couple with his organization’s obligation to cause social, monetary and infrastructural improvement to individuals.
He concluded: I would also like to reaffirm to the people that this government is the government of the people, and that we will diligently work to ensure that this law is carried out because it is our own law.
