1. Create a vision board

What do you want your dream wedding to look like? What theme? what colours? You may want to send quite some time on Instagram surfing hashtags and skimming through pages of bridal magazines for ideas.

2. What’s your Budget

Before anything else. Your budget needs to be decide. Sit with your husband to be and you both decide how much you want to spend on the wedding affair. This will guide the kind of vendors you approach and things you start day dreaming about. It’s your reality check.

3. Consult with past brides

Ask your married friends what their best and worst experience was on their wedding day. What errors did their planners make that almost ruined their day? and what amazing things added spice to their big day. For example, How many guests where invited vs the number that showed up. Was food enough? This will immediately help you pen down what to absolutely avoid and what to push for.

4. Break down your to-do into the tiniest bits

When the planning starts to get chaotic and even a bit overwhelming, try to stay organized. Store all of your notes, plans, and to-do lists in one area so that you can reference them whenever necessary.
