Ahead of the highly anticipated Lagos Fashion & Design Week (HeinekenLFW), we get an up close and personal look at one of its Nigerian designers – Iconic Invanity.
The Nigerian fashion brand has carved a niche for itself thanks to its head designer, Nancy Nwadire. Besides building a stellar brand, Nancy has also been able to raise 2 budding fashion stars – her daughters.
The 8th cover of Black Lite features Nancy and her 2 daughters, Destiny and Alanis Nwadire who own the Iconic Invanity sub-brand, DNA by Iconic Invanity. In the issue, the trio shares their love for fashion and the concepts that drive their brand. We also get a taste of their new fashion line, NEKA YOUTH. The line has been described by the magazine as “a fast fun fashion fit for the young at heart“.
To shed more light on the pre-teen line, the brand wrote on its Instagram page;
“In anticipation to our show tonight @lagosfashionweekofficial we’ve partnered with UK magazine @blanckdigital to share with you our brand story. Yes, we’ve come along way and can’t wait to introduce you to Iconic Invanity’s new pre-teen/teen line @neka_youth.”

NEKA YOUTH will be showing alongside DNA by Iconic Invanity at 8:20PM.
The designers also spoke on their brand mission. They said; “our mission from the beginning was to create meaningful work which revolved around family values, our customers’ needs and community empowerment.”
