Joy Cometh FC Raise Concern As NNL Fail To Comply With NFF Final Verdict – Latest Sports and Football News in Nigeria

The face-off between the Nigerian National League, NNL and the Lagos based club, Joy Cometh FC has been reported earlier by Sports247.

It was reported that at the end of last NNL season, stake holders, organizers and club owners of the second tier Nigerian league football held a meeting in Edo State and resolved to changing the relegation pattern of the then just concluded season.

Traditionally, the last two clubs of the four groups in the NNL will be relegated but was later changed in the said meeting to organizing a .off for the bottom three of every group and this largely affected Joy Cometh as they finished just above the bottom two.

Feeling unfairly treated, Joy Cometh protested the decision, naming it unfair and illegal as they refused to partake in any .off, resulting to thier removal from this season’s NNL campaign. In so doing, Joy Cometh petitioned the league organizing body.

The Nigerian Football Federation Organizing Committee, the body responsible for mediating between the warring parties, few days back gave a verdict that Joy Cometh FC should be reinstated into the on-going NNL immediately as that was the final verdict of the committee.

The committee in t. press release called the decision of the NNL organizing body illegal and unconstitutional t.by capable of bringing disrepute to both the league and the Nigerian Football Federation.

A few days after the verdict which states that Joy Cometh should be reinstated into the on-going NNL as reported by Sports247, the club have come out to express worry as t. hasn’t been any move made by the NNL to carry out the final decision of the topmost footballing body in Nigeria neither has the NNL communicated to the club on how the verdict will be carried out.

According to thier press release, the club’s management has decided to let the public know that the management of the NNL is yet communicate to Joy Cometh on how the mediating committee’s verdict will be carried out and implemented.

The club has used the opportunity to appreciate everybody who has stood for justice and has contributed to the victory of the club and also wish that justice will continually reign in Nigeria football as this has spoken well of the NFF Organizing Committee and the NFF at large.
