Sunday Emmanuel, a trader has been killed after a suspected sex worker, Precious, allegedly sliced his stomach with a sword in FESTAC Town in Lagos State’s Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area.
According to reports, Emmanuel ran a makeshift bar on First Avenue where he sold alcoholic beverages.
During a Monday visit to the area, our correspondent discovered that Precious frequented the area at unusual hours in search of customers.
An dispute broke out between her and Emmanuel around 4 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, according to a vehicle marketer who only goes by the name Buchi.

“She mounted a motorcycle to flee after doing the crime,” he claimed.
The attacker chased her down, but his injuries caused him to stumble and his intestines to come out, killing him.
“People assumed she had gotten away.
However, a biker who observed Emmanuel’s assault rode her to the FESTAC Police Station and handed her over to a cop.
I’m not sure what sparked the altercation between her and the man.”
Mr Lucky, the manager of De Haven Hotel, told our correspondent that the biker informed him of the incident.
“After he told me, I stepped outside and saw a lot of people at the location, which is across the street from our hotel,” he said.
The rider told me because he suspected the police would try to blame the hotel for the death.
He also wanted me to make sure the cops handled the situation properly.
“When I arrived at the station, I saw the girl; she is a sex worker who has shown no regret for her actions.
She was unremorseful even when she was handcuffed, until they were transferring the case and she was informed she might never return.
“The incident occurred not at the hotel, but across the street, and the motorcyclist who brought her to the station and notified me was my one saving grace.
She was brought to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department in Yaba, according to what I’ve learned.”
CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, the state Police Public Relations Officer, said he will contact our correspondent once he had more information about the event.
As of the time of filing this report, he had yet to do so.
