Man United legend to step down as Wales coach amid trial

Manchester United legend, Ryan Giggs is set to decide his managerial role as Wales coach.

 

According to Mail, Giggs temporarily left the role after being charged with assaulting his ex-girlfriend.

He left his post in November 2020 following a domestic violence trial in Manchester on August 8.

The trial was adjourned to August 8, following a backlog of cases at Manchester Crown Court.

The midfielder reportedly controlled and coerced his former girlfriend Kate Greville between August 2017 and November 2020.

Giggs is also accused of assaulting Ms. Greville, causing her actual bodily harm.

In addition, he is reported to have assaulted her younger sister, Emma Greville, at his home in Worsley, Greater Manchester, on November 1, 2020.

The Manchester United star has denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty to all charges.
