The Kwara State Command of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has apprehended four individuals suspected of dealing in illegal substances, believed to be cannabis.

The arrests took place at a hotel in Ilorin, the state capital.

Ibrahim Mohammed, the state commander of the agency, informed journalists that among the arrested individuals was a 21-year-old girl named Ishola Bisola, allegedly used as an agent to sell illicit drugs.

The NDLEA commander disclosed that preliminary investigations unveiled Yusuf Yahaya, one of the suspects, as a supplier of hard drugs, specifically transporting 31 kilograms of Cannabis sativa from Kwara State to Kebbi and Zamfara states.

Yahaya is reportedly linked to supplying drugs to bandits operating in the area.

Highlighting the agency’s commitment, the NDLEA boss emphasized their determination to intensify the fight against illegal drug trafficking in the upcoming year.

Following the completion of investigations, all suspects will face legal charges in court.
