The quest to fit into the present day society’s definition of ‘beautiful’ has really pushed women to undertake very dangerous adventures which they fully know could cost their lives if it happens to go wrong. A 27-year-old woman, Serena Beuford, from Boston, was sent into a coma after her big fake butt implants exploded while doing squats for an Instagram video.
Miss Serena was working out with a friend at a gym, and after they had finished, the friend tried to record Serena doing squats to post the video on Instagram. As the video recording session was going on, suddenly, there was a loud pop which prompted Serena Beuford to immediately stop. Soon after the popping sound, she fell to the floor shouting in agony from the pain. Other members of the gym rushed to her aid until medical services arrived.

Recalling the horrible event, Jewel, a patron of the gym said:
“I heard a loud popping noise followed by the woman falling to the floor. She was screaming my ass is gone!!!; I had no idea what she was talking about until I saw her cushion like butt missing when EMS took her out the gym.
“There was blood and yellowish fluid all over the floor. She used to always show off her butt in the gym and tried to get guys attention with her work outs. Looks like she got more attention than she wanted this time around.”
The victim’s sister said Serena got her surgery done in March, 2016 from an unlicensed clinic and absolutely loved her fake butt, adding that she wanted to be an Instagram star and she believed this was the way to go about it.

According to the doctor working on the case, Serena Beuford is in serious condition. Although she is expected to survive, she will no longer be able to use her bowel system and as a result, she will have to use a colostomy bag.
The doctor explained that the eruption of her implants resulted in severe damage to her rectum, colon, and lower intestines and would need extensive medical procedures to repair the damage caused by the bad surgery. Dr. Sanji, a surgeon.

“We, as physicians, do not understand why women put themselves through such agonizing pain to achieve results like this. These surgeries are not healthy for the body and are not meant to last long. Whoever did this to this young woman should be ashamed of themselves.”
