Emmanuel Osadebe is itching to represent at the international level instead of Republic of Ireland, news reaching sports247.ng report.
Osadebe, who was born to Nigerian parents in Dundalk trained with the Irish U-21 squad ahead of a friendly against Norway in 2015.
The 25-year-old was however not included in the matchday squad and he is still eligible to represent the Super Eagles.
Having joined English League Two side, Bradford City for an undisclosed fee recently, Osadebe hopes that .ing for the Bantams can help him actualise that aspiration.
He said during a media chat;
“Ireland’s not for me, I want to . for Nigeria,” he told The Telegraph and Argus.
“I’m still only 25 years old, and if I have a good season this year and then a couple more higher up, I know it can happen.
“I believe it will happen, and I hope that being at Bradford starts that process up and we keep moving up because the goal is to get a promotion.” Osadebe concluded.
