The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, appeared in court today to testify in the continuing trial of Abubakar Ali Peters and Nadabo Energy Limited for alleged N761.6 million subsidy fraud.
The case was adjourned yesterday by Justice S.S. Ogunsanya of the Lagos state high court, Ikeja, due to the absence of the defense counsel.
Peters and his company are being prosecuted by the EFCC on a 21-count charge of collecting money under false pretenses, diversion of federal government funds, and forgery.
