Piers Morgan didn’t seem too excited over the return of The Apprentice and Lord Alan Sugar being ‘back on TV again’.

The former Good Morning Britain presenter, 56, and the businessman, 74, had a sensational falling out last year after Piers criticised the Government’s handling of the pandemic, however, Piers later confirmed that all was well between the pair. Or so we thought…

The Apprentice boss shared a short clip promoting the long-awaited reality series, which focuses on a group of entrepreneurs competing in business tasks to win a contract, but Piers made it clear he wasn’t impressed.

Taking to Twitter, the star wrote: ‘Oh no… I thought one of the few benefits of this pandemic was that we’d never have to see this – or him – on TV again…’

T.’s been no response yet from Lord Sugar, who had earlier captioned the trailer: ‘I’m back in business for @BBCApprentice, watch weekly from 6th January at 9pm on @BBCOne and @BBCiPlayer #TheApprentice.’

Considering outspoken journalist Piers confirmed he made up with Lord Sugar and confirmed he even started to ‘miss the old goat,’ fans were a little confused by the sudden outburst.

One fan wrote: ‘Piers, we’ve heard you two patched things up so, this negative won’t work!’

Another added: ‘Piers I thought you and Sir Alan @Lord_Sugar has kissed and made up.’

The two used to have a close friendship but clashed constantly over Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s tactics when it came to flattening the Covid curve.

In his Daily Mail column, Piers revealed he ‘missed Sugar as a human being’.

He wrote: ‘Beneath his gnarly, blunt and often breathtakingly rude exterior, he’s got a good heart,’ recalling how the Apprentice star sent an ‘incredibly kind letter’ when his father had a stroke.’

Piers admitted they’re ‘more similar than either of [them] would ever care to admit’ and felt it was ‘two-faced’ of him to cut Lord Alan off for disagreeing with him.
