Four .ers of Rangers International F.C of Enugu are amongst the 35-man list of invited .ers from the domestic league by coach Salisu Yusuf to jostle for a place in the final list of .ers to defend the colors of the country against perennial rivals, Ghana in the qualifiers for next year’s CHAN competition to be hosted by Algeria.
Captain of the ‘Flying Antelopes’, Tope Olusesi makes a return to the Super Eagles B team after being in the team that .ed against Mexico in an international friendly match in the USA recently just as the trio of Chidiebere Nwobodo, Kenechukwu Agu, and Ossy Martins will be having their first invite to the senior national team of Nigeria.

In a chat, wing-wizard and dribbling wiz kid, Nwobodo who had seven goals and several assists to his name in the recently ended NPFL 2021/2022 season for Rangers, said, “It is a big honor and I will grab it with both hands. I hope to be a good ambassador of Rangers in the national camp and do my best to make the cut for the team that will tackle Ghana in the two-legged qualifiers.”
Rivers United has the most significant number of .ers invited to the camp that is expected to open on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, in Abuja with Akwa United contributing five .ers while the duo of Enyimba and Rangers has four .ers invited just as Plateau United have three .ers invited and Remo stars have two invited .ers as Katsina United, Kano Pillars, Gombe United, Abia Warriors and Water F.C all have one .er each invited to the camp.
The Eagles B will square up to the Black Galaxies in the first leg in Accra on Sunday, 28th August with the return encounter already scheduled for the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on Saturday, 3rd September.
The winner on aggregate will earn a berth at the 7th African Nations Championship finals to be staged in Algeria early next year.
