Senator Stella Oduah, representing Anambra North Senatorial District, is right a grieving mother, according to reprorts. The former Aviation Minister has lost her 28-year-old. The unfortunate incident occurred onFriday. The boy reportedly died a at a private hospital in Abuja in the early hours of Friday after a brief illness.
The senator and former Minister of Aviation confirmed the death of her son in a telephone conversation with The Punch on Friday afternoon.

Senator Uche Ekwunife, representing Anambra Central in the Senate, also confirmed the sad incident saying she had been with Oduah to console her over the “unfortunate situation.”
“It is very unfortunate. It has shown that death and life belong to God and it is only Him who controls our life. It is a trying moment for her and all of us. I know how it feels as a mother. It is only God who can console her.”
Oduah, was a Minister of Aviation in the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan. Before then, she was active in the political campaign of the former President, where she served as his campaign’s Director of Administration and Finance.
Senator Stella Oduah has been involved in numerous controversies ranging from highly inflated purchase of BMW bullet-proof cars without following due process, as well as allegations of fake MBA degree certificate supposedly obtained from St Paul’s College.
According to news reports, the minister had requested that the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority purchase bulletproof cars for her following threats to her life.
A committee was set up by former President Goodluck Jonathan, to look into the matter and a major recommendation of the Aviation committee was adopted.
The EFCC was also on Stella’s neck as she was under interrogatory arrest for a while before Ms. Oduah filed an application at a Federal High Court for an order to stop the EFCC from investigating the allegations.

An order which was initially granted by Justice Mohammed Yunusa, but in February 2016, after Justice Yunusa was transferred out of Lagos, another federal high court judge vacated the order, permitting the EFCC to carry on with the investigations.
