Serena Williams forced to exit Eastbourne

Serena Williams’ doubles partner has reportedly suffered a knee injury and forced her to withdraw from her Eastbourne semi-finals on Thursday, June 23.
After the Thursday, June 23 incident, Williams has been awarded a wild card to the Wimbledon.
The 4o-year-old and Tunisian Jabeur qualified for the semi-finals with a narrow victory over Shuko Aoyama and Chan Hao-ching.
At the women’s singles of the All England Club, Serena will look to continue her pursuit of a record-equalling 24th grand slam title.
Speaking after Wednesday’s match, she said, “I feel good. As good as one can feel after having such a long time off.
“I was telling Ons, this was a really good match and the second set in particular.
“They .ed really well, but we were able to just . different circumstances.
“It was actually good match . and match practice, which is exactly what I needed and what I wanted to do coming ., so I couldn’t have asked for more.”
Williams has won the singles title seven times at Wimbledon, most recently in 2016.
