‘How to fix eyelashes’ is one of the most searched beauty questions ever. This goes to show that it can go really right or really wrong. Tbh, eyelash extensions can be the best thing. They make your natural lashes seem longer and save you the hassle of using mascara daily. However, if they are not properly done, your eye might get irritated by the glue, you might lose your natural lashes or even go blind!
Case in point – Megan Rixson’s horrifying experience wearing false eyelashes.
Megan, a 20-year-old, shared how she went temporarily blind for 2 hours after having her eyelashes fixed at a local salon. According to her, the salon attendant decided to use nail glue as an adhesive to fix her lashes. And as you might’ve suspected, this went horribly wrong.
In the video, Megan warns women to be careful when it comes to getting their lashes done. She shared the aftermath of the experience on her Twitter account, saying;
Girls be very very careful w. you get your eyelashes done!!I got my individuals done today somew. new and it turns out they used nail glue on my lashes. I genuinely lost my sight for 2 hours. Thankfully the swelling has gone down, but t. still very sore. Be careful😭 pic.twitter.com/NmsFr9QSbk

If these stories have not completely scared you off false eyelash extensions, these pointers will come in handy when you decide to:
- If you are getting them fixed at a salon, ensure whoever is attending to you is licensed. Or get a referral from someone to make sure they have a good track record.
- A great tip is to take your own eyelash glue that has been previously tested on your skin. This ensures you won’t have any allergic ..
- And if you don’t have your own glue, make sure the glue used is meant specifically for eyelash extensions.
