USA stays on top as FIFA Ranking grows as Nigeria is 38th in the world – Sporting Life

United States of America still maintained her leadership position on the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking as Nigeria’s Super Falcons are in 38th position.

The latest Ranking is also the biggest yet, with Seychelles (160th, -), Burundi (169th, -) and British Virgin Islands (174th, -) taking the total number of teams now included in it to 181 from FIFA’s 211 member associations.

Just as they did three months ago , Slovenia (45th, +2) and Philippines (53rd, +1) have reached their highest ever positions in a FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking still dominated by USA and which has changed little since 25 March 2022, despite 130 matches being .ed in that time.

T. should be plenty of changes in the weeks ahead, however, with the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 on the schedule, not to mention qualifying matches for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia/New Zealand 2023 in the OFC, CONMEBOL, CAF and CONCACAF zones.

The top three in the Ranking is unchanged. USA (1st, -) lead the way from Sweden (2nd, -) and France (3rd, -), though t. is a change just below. Beaten by Serbia (36th, +2) in an Australia/New Zealand 2023 qualifier, Germany (5th, -1) drop down to fifth, allowing Netherlands (4th, +1) to jump ahead of them.

The only other notable changes in the top 20 are one-place drops for Korea Republic (18th, -1) and Switzerland (20th, -1) and one-place rises for Iceland (17th, +1) and Belgium (19th, +1).
