Researchers at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore have reported that brisk walking could reverse bone loss associated with a common prostate cancer therapy.
Walking at a rapid pace for 30 minutes five times a week for eight weeks was shown to build bone strength in men undergoing androgen deprivation therapy and radiation for prostate cancer. Building more bone mass, according to the researchers, would lessen the risk of fracture and osteoporosis.
