When it comes to wedding skincare, having a picture perfect and clearer skin is every woman’s dream. It looks good and it’s the best kind of foundation for your makeup.
There are certain habits people with clear skin have (and dermatologists constantly recommend) that you can easily adapt to your lifestyle.
1. Wash and moisturize your face every single day starting a month to your big day.
Clean skin is clear skin, cleanse and moisturize at least twice a day (morning and evening).
2. Never ever sleep with makeup on.
Yes, sometimes it’s a long day/night and you just want to jump into bed and drift off to dreamland. But you’re letting your pores remain blocked for hours and bacteria from the day sit on your face. So for those lazy nights keep makeup remover face wipes by your bed to wipe off the makeup before you doze off and be sure to follow up with a deep cleanse the next day.
3. Don’t become a product junky.
Sometimes, in pursuit of a clearer skin, we get impatient and switch products hoping for a faster result. Before you ditch a product (unless it causes your skin ailments to get worse) use it for the recommended time before switching to something else.
4. An occasional scrub will do wonders on your skin.
Use a scrub to shed dead skin cells to achieve a cleaner tone.
5. Avoid touching your face throughout the day.
You are transferring multiple germs to your face from your hands.
6. Always have a clean pillowcase.
Something as negligible as your pillow case can damage your skin. The dirt on your pillowcase can cause acne, so change every week or as required.
7. Check your makeup products to find out when they are meant to be thrown out.
Near the bottom of the barcode on your makeup supplies, there is usually a container icon with a number (for example 12M), that number is how many months that product is meant to be used.
8. Drink Water.
Everyone says this, but it’s worth repeating because it is that important. The health benefits of water cannot be over-emphasized.
9. Give up popping your pimples
Most of us are guilty of this, but doing so in the hope of getting rid of it faster will leave you with worse acne scarring.
Clear skin is not just about what you put on your skin but also what you put in your body. Cut down on alcoholic drinks if you can for best results (if you drink).
